I recently had the pleasure of spending an evening with the wonderfully talented Ann Street Studio. Jamie Beck was visiting the area so I invited her to stop by one of my classes at SCAD Lacoste and take a look at all the great work my travel photography students were doing - and maybe give them some expert advice as well! If you aren't familiar with Jamie and Kevin and the work they do over at Ann Street Studio do yourself a favor and take a look. They specialize in travel, lifestyle, and fashion have an amazing eye for the natural beauty in life.
After their class visit, we decided to go out on a little photo adventure together and ended up at one of my favorite restaurants in the area, La Coquillard. At Jamie's request, I brought along one of my large format cameras so that we could make a few exposures of the vineyards at dusk. It seems Jamie is a bit a film nerd like me so we got along swimmingly and after a few glasses of wine our conversation turned to my life as an artist. Which she felt a need to get on record.
It was a real pleasure to spend an evening with people as passionate about the medium of photography as I am and I hope it isn't too long before our paths cross again.
Here are a few images from our little photo expedition together. I got a glimpse behind the scenes of how Ann Street creates their stellar shots for their blog and social media sites. For a look at Ann Street's shots from the night make sure to swing by their site.
